Welcome to California's North Coast

With free-flowing rivers, rugged mountain ranges, and rural towns surrounded by open ranges, dairy farms, redwood forests, wild salmon runs and cackling geese, the North Coast region is considered one of the last best places on the planet.

The Northcoast Regional Land Trust is a nonprofit organization with a focus of protecting land and water on nearly five million acres on California’s North Coast encompassing Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity Counties. Find out more About us.

NRLT Annual Celebration Huge Success!

On October 2, 2011 over 275 people, all supporters of NRLT, came to the Fortuna River Lodge to celebrate the land and its stewards. The diverse and dynamic group of attendees feasted on a delicious meal donated primarily by local producers while enjoying an open bar of cocktails and locally made wine and beer. The night featured a silent and live auction with over 75 items, including a week condo rental in Kona, a guided hunt on Charles Mountain Ranch, veggie and grain shares, a Farm Fresh dinner party, steelhead fishing trips, a Dungeness crab feed, a load of hardwood logs, and more!

The event brought in approximately $27,000 which will go directly towards supporting the vital work NRLT does in our tri-county region for land conservation, conservation planning and community outreach and education. A very special thanks to all of those who helped make this event such a success. We could not have done it without the support of our great community!

Pastels on the Plaza!

Once again, NRLT featured a colorful drawing at Pastels on the Plaza on October 1st, 2011.  NRLT staff, Ryan Wells, drew the vibrant landscape in honor of the land and it's stewards.  Proceeds from this event go to the Northcoast Children's Services.
