 Freshwater Farms Reserve Stewardship Days

Join NRLT and community members in helping to make Freshwater Farms Reserve a place that you and your family use, take care of, and enjoy. We welcome individuals, businesses, community organizations, and service groups to participate. The Freshwater Farms Reserve Stewardship group meets at the Freshwater Nature Trail parking lot each month for a rewarding day of trail management and land stewardship.

May 4th/5th- CNPS Plant Sale at FWFR

May 11th- "Udderly Unbelievable: A Tale of Cows and Coho" Tour and Picnic Lunch at Martin Slough

June 14th- "Paddle the Bay" in partnership with Latino Outdoors and HSU Center Activities

June 22nd- Freshwater Farms Summer Celebration

The Freshwater Farms Summer Celebration is a family friendly event at Freshwater Farms Reserve from 4 pm – 8 pm on Saturday, June 22nd.  The evening includes a concert by popular local band Huckleberry Flint with opening music by Wild Abandon. There will be food and drink available for purchase by the Humboldt-Del Norte Cattlewomen, Booth Brewing, Wrangletown Cider and Los Bagels.  Also includes kids’ activities, lawn games, and more!  Lawn seating - bring blankets or low chairs.  Doors open at 4 pm, music starts at 5 pm, Huckleberry Flint goes on at 6:30.  Tickets go on sale May 20th and are $15 for adults, kids under 12 $5, kids under 3 are FREE.  Celebrate summer and the longest day of the year at this benefit for the Northcoast Regional Land Trust.

August 24th- BioBlitz and Stewardship Saturday at FWFR in collaboration with Friends of the Dunes

September 7th- Intro into Birding at FWFR

September 25th- Pint Night at Redwood Curtain

October 12th-  2019 Annual Celebration at Fortuna River Lodge

November 20th- Pint Night and Volunteer Appreciation Night at Mad River Brewery 

December 13th- NRLT Holiday Party
