Welcome to California's North Coast

With free-flowing rivers, rugged mountain ranges, and rural towns surrounded by open ranges, dairy farms, redwood forests, wild salmon runs and cackling geese, the North Coast region is considered one of the last best places on the planet.

The Northcoast Regional Land Trust is a nonprofit organization with a focus of protecting land and water on nearly five million acres on California’s North Coast encompassing Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity Counties. Find out more About us.

Barn and Nursery Space for Rent at Freshwater Farms Reserve

Barn and nursery space available for lease near Eureka. Between 1,800 sf to 12,000 sf. Two buildings and one hoop house offer enclosed or semi-enclosed agricultural space with lease ranges from 20-40 cents psf/month with a year-to-year fixed-term lease. Our preference is to lease the facilities together but we are open to leasing facilities/areas separately.

The barn is a total 8,400 sf (70’x120’) with a new roof and siding. There is approximately 5,760 sf of open space available in the main section of the barn. The barn also has four outer bays that are divided from the main section by sheer walls. Each of these areas is approximately 550 sf.  At least two of the bays will not likely be available as part of leased area. The floor of the main section of the barn is about half concrete and half compacted earth. The floors of the outer bays are concrete.

The fully enclosed nursery building is approximately 1,800 sf (30’x60’) with a slab floor and a new roof. The attached hoop house is approximately 1,800 sf (20’x90’). Along with the hoop house and nursery, there is approximately ¼ acre of cultivation area adjacent to the buildings. For the nursery facilities, preference will be given to operations with a component of native plant propagation. Not for retail use. Wholesale nursery operations are permitted.

All uses must be in alignment with NRLT's mission of conserving wild and working lands and compatible with the adjacent farm stand, row crop area and nearby trail that is open to the public generally during daylight hours. No cannabis inquiries please. Showings available through appointment only.
