Join naturalists and other supporters of the Northcoast Regional Land Trust on a paddle in kayaks or canoes through Humboldt Bay, Freshwater Slough and Freshwater Farms Reserve. This special interpretive paddle will allow you access to a network of beautiful slough channels and the majestic Humboldt Bay. You will travel by tidal wetlands with herons and geese flying overhead.
This five-mile paddle is not strenuous but requires sustained activity for the duration. Everyone welcome – families encouraged. All boats and gear will be provided by Humboats. Directions: Meet at Humboats on Woodley Island, Dock A by 1 pm. We will carpool from there to Freshwater Farms Reserve, launching by 2 pm, and arriving back at Humboats 1.5-2 hours later.
