DESCRIPTION:Due to staff sickness\, a shorter\, introductory training will 
 be held via zoom instead from 9:30 to 10:30 on Saturday\, Sept. 16th. Jump
  in for an informal overview of the Cows &amp\; Cattails program\, volunte
 er field trip guide roles\, and how to get involved\, followed by a Q&amp\

  to help lead environmental education field trips for elementary schoolers
 ? NRLT hosts free educational field trips for our local elementary school
 s where students are introduced to the scientific method and answer the qu
 estion\, “can farms be part of a healthy environment?” We expect to le
 ad 10 field trips this fall (generally Thursdays and Fridays\, 9am-12pm) a
 nd rely on committed\, caring volunteers to assist as guides in various ca
 pacities.\n\nJoin us for a training at our demonstration property\, Freshw
 ater Farms Reserve\, on Saturday\, Sept. 16th\, 9am-12pm to try it out for
  yourself! Participants will experience a mock-field trip\, learn basic en
 vironmental education methods\, role-play relevant scenarios\, and learn m
 ore about our Field Trip Guiding volunteer program. Participants will need
  comfortable clothes\, shoes and a good attitude. Be prepared to get wet a
 nd muddy! Rainboots are available to borrow from NRLT. Light lunch\, coffe
